Description
Epoxy putty for metal 57gr - Arexons 4758
Co-extruded two-component putty in stick form, based on epoxy resin.
The crosslinking component is encapsulated in the resin, which makes the dosing of the two components and subsequent crosslinking easy and automatic.
It adheres to wet surfaces and allows operation in the presence of slight liquid spillage.
After mixing it hardens in about 15 minutes without shrinkage.
Can be painted and sanded or worked with tools after approx. 1 hour.
Withstands up to 120°C with peaks of 150°C.
Employment
Ideal for iron, steel, aluminium, copper, brass, cast iron, lead.
Used to repair tanks, engine parts, steel pipes, damaged threads, metal tools.
Rebuilds missing parts.
Excellent as a filler for holes, scratches and grooves on metal.
Not suitable for polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), PTFE.
Use
Clean and degrease the parts to be glued; light sanding improves adhesion.
Remove the necessary quantity from the stick and mix until homogeneous.
Apply within 5 minutes.
Force the product into the hole or crack to be repaired and remove excess.
If applied on a wet surface or in the presence of a leak, hold the resin until adhesion begins to take effect.
After about 15 minutes the resin hardens and already after 1 hour it is possible to sand, sand, sand and paint.
Warnings
As the product is an irritant, it is advisable to use a pair of gloves when mixing the product.
Storage
The product is stable for at least 1 year after packaging if stored well in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
