Description
Motorblack special black silicone gasket for fire engines - Arexons 0094
Single-component silicone elastomer with acetic cross-linking system.
The technical properties are superior to normal silicones, allowing the product to be used in the motor industry where capabilities are required to withstand particularly severe conditions of temperature, pressure and resistance to solvents, lubricating fluids and mechanical stresses.
Silicone has excellent dielectric properties and excellent adhesion to most materials.
Employment
The product is specifically for sealing the oil sump of "Fire" engines and is indicated in the industrial sector as a sealant for moving machine parts such as pumps, turbines, compressors, and as an alternative to preformed gaskets.
In the electrical sector it is used as an insulator.
Suitable for bonding already cured silicone and wherever sealants resistant to high temperatures, oils, and solvents are required. The product, after cross-linking, resists water, fuels*, mineral and synthetic oils, radiator fluids.
*Gasoline: resists only vapors, exhibits poor resistance in immersion, however.
Use
Use on clean and degreased surfaces.
Proceed with assembly of parts after about 20 minutes (skin formation).
Crosslinking can be accelerated by heat.
Warnings
Excess fresh sealant can be removed with a rag possibly soaked in solvents, while, after curing only by mechanical means.
Traces of acetic acid vapors take place during curing.
Avoid prolonged contact of the product with the skin and eyes; in case of contact with the eyes, wash thoroughly with water.
Storage
Validity of product after packing in sealed package and stored at room temperature: 24 months minimum.
